Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is the next game after the first Amnesia: The Dark Descent, but Daniel, the main character will not return. The horror game begins in Mexico with Oswald Mandus, a wealthy industrialist. Prepare for a horror adventure!

In 1899, sixty years after the Dark Descent, Oswald returns after a disastrous adventure in Mexico, where he had caught fever and had strange dreams about a dark machine. Years have passed and Oswald hears the roaring of a machine nearby. The game now has interlocking storylines with some taking place in the present, some in the past, and some in the future. Other storylines result in the whole adventure being totally “fake” and others, make the adventure completely real. The game was originally planned for a 2012 release date, but the latest Fictional Games update is a release date for early 2013, meaning some time very soon. The only “clue” given about the new Amnesia is in a mysterious poem that some people had begun to decipher. It reads: Thus ever we stumble by, Wet grass on the knee bent low, And place our flowers on the grave, And weeping, griping the soil below, And lift our children to the skies, And love for them, and conquer death, With candle lights and tables tipped, We call your spirit back to us, A footfall in the darkened halls, Out twins at play, a lover’s laugh’. Amnesia will return to the gaming world.

Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is a first-person horror game that relies on mental stability and will to venture forth. This time it is Oswald facing danger in Mexico, 60 years later. Face the nightmares that lurk and learn about the mysterious machine that lies ahead!
