Isabel Lau
Hello, I am Isabel Lau. I´m a 7th grader here at Dodson Middle School. I enjoy journalism and am part of a journalist group called La JaJa. With La JaJa, I´ve had the opportunity to cover projects such as interviewing Aubrey Miller of Just Add Magic and Harvey Guillen of Eye Candy on the CHILL blue carpet, interviewing democratic congressman Ted Lieu, interviewing childrens´ author Icy Smith, and interviewing the float designer of Paradiso´s  2017 Rose Parade float. I have also received journalism training from Cassandra Hsiao, a professional journalist who was accepted into all eight Ivy League Schools. A future project I would like to cover is a big movie premier in Hollywood. Aside from my journalistic interests, I enjoy basketball, fencing, singing, acting, dancing, piano, violin, guitar, watching Korean dramas, and listening to kpop. A few of my favorite kdramas include W, Descendants of the Sun, The Heirs, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, Goblin, and Fight My Way. Some of my favorite kpop groups are BTS, EXO, Seventeen, Got7, Red Velvet, Twice, Blackpink, 2NE1, BigBang, Astro, K.A.R.D., f(x), SHINee, Day6, NCT, VIXX, iKON, Monsta X, 4minute, Winner, JBJ, IOI, and CNBLUE. In the future, I aspire to be a successful member of the entertainment industry.
