The Feeling of Stress and Anxiety is never a good one, and is usually a frustrating/irritating feeling. This article lays out simple ways to help cure this feeling to make our lives a little easier. :)

It is the 2nd school semester and kids are struggling with a major problem; Stress and anxiety.  Stress and anxiety are things that people of all ages don’t want around, and both stress and anxiety can cause health damages to a person, both physically and mentally. So, in this article I wanted to address this problem and find solutions to help people like me overcome this feeling. 🙂

What is stress and anxiety?

Stress and Anxiety are very similar and are experienced from time to time during a person’s life. Stress is the feeling of being overwhelmed and under pressure, and due to this feeling, people tend to get nervous and be unable to cope with certain or all things in general.

Stress kicks in when a person feels threatened, getting introduced to something new or unexpected, or when a person feels they have little to no control over a situation. (

Anxiety is a little different compared to stress.Anxiety is the feeling of panic and anxiousness, and is most commonly found when a person is in their teenage years.

Anxiety’s symptoms consist of  feeling nervous/restless, having an increased heart rate, feeling tired or weak, hyperventilation, and having trouble remembering or focusing. Anxiety can make a person feel tense and uncomfortable with their surroundings or with whatever that person is doing.(

There are many common ways to deal with anxiety

and stress but not all of them are effective so I will list 3 ways to relieve stress and anxiety.

Meditation can be a key component to relieving stress and anxiety and it is considered one of the more popular stress management techniques. The reason why meditating is such a popular technique is because meditating can help a person focus their attention and get rid of the emotions building up in a person’s mind.

According to (, they explain that,”The practice of mindful meditation involves sitting comfortably, focusing on your breathing, and then bringing your mind’s attention to the present without drifting into concerns about the past or future.” Mindful meditation can help many students with stress and this type of meditation promotes physical and mental health.


2.spending time with friends or family

Spending time with family or friends is a very good way to relieve stress/anxiety. Emotional and social support from friends and family is proven to help a person resolve their feelings a little and admitting what was wrong. Having the feeling of support from loved ones can be a relief for you and a relief for a person’s emotions. (

3.Take a Breather

Taking a breather or taking a quick walk outside is always a good option because fresh air relieves stress and gives the mind a break while it enjoys its surroundings. A quick step outside and a slow paced walk is always enjoyable and the setting itself helps the mind unwind because it’s in a safe place. Studies have shown that people have found being in nature for at least 10 minutes reduces stress.      -Other Tips-    


  • -practice deep breathing (ex: Inhale through your nose for 4 seconds, hold your breath for seven seconds, exhale completely through your mouth for 8 seconds, repeat. (

  • Listen to relaxing music or your favorite music to let your mind relax and focus on the music instead of your worries.

  •  Take a quick rest and relax in the comfort of your sleeping place and rest your mind for the racing thoughts in your head

  •  Count backwards. This technique might seem a little weird but it actually helps the brain stop thinking and slow down its thoughts.
